Mildred Joan Pinto passed away on Tuesday October 11, 2016 at NY Presbyterian Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was 74 years old. Joan was born on May 19, 1942 in Charleston South Carolina to the late Julius and Mildred Brownlee Cavazzi. Joan was the Senior Office Assistant for the Eastchester Building Department for twenty seven years from 1974 until her retirement in 2001. She was also past President of the CSEA Local Union in the Town of Eastchester for ten years. Joan married her devoted husband Philip who has been by her side...

Mildred Joan Pinto passed away on Tuesday October 11, 2016 at NY Presbyterian Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was 74 years old. Joan was born on May 19, 1942 in Charleston South Carolina to the late Julius and Mildred Brownlee Cavazzi. Joan was the Senior Office Assistant for the Eastchester Building Department for twenty seven years from 1974 until her retirement in 2001. She was also past President of the CSEA Local Union in the Town of Eastchester for ten years. Joan married her devoted husband Philip who has been by her side from the day they got married until her passing. They just celebrated their fifty fifth wedding anniversary on September 24, 2016. They were married at Assumption Church in Tuckahoe NY, where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Society and a communicant.

Joan is survived by her beloved husband Philip Pinto Sr.; she is the devoted mother of Anthony (Carol) and Philip (Lisa) Pinto, Diana (Thomas) DiCarlo. She is the cherished grandmother of Thomas, Lauren, A.J., Gregory, Philip, Cassandra and Christian. Joan is survived by her brother Gary Cavazzi and predeceased by her brother Jack Cavazzi. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Assumption Church in Tuckahoe on October 14, 2016 at 10:30AM . Interment to follow at Holy Mount Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday October 13, 2016 from 3-8 PM.
